The Head of Bosnia’s Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA), Osman Mehmedagic, and officer Muhamed Pekic, have been acquitted of charges of abuse of office or authority, on Thursday.
The Panel of the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH rendered the second-instance verdict rejecting the appeal of the State Prosecutor's Office as unfounded. The first-instance verdict of February 19, according to which Osman Mehmedagic and Muhamed Pekic were released, was thus confirmed.
The Prosecution accused Mehmedagic and Pekic of abusing their position and authority, as well as the resources and capacities of the OSA for private and personal interests, in August last year.
