The High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, will continue consultations with party representatives regarding amendments to the Election Law, on Friday. The leader of Our Party, Edin Forto, accompanied by Damir Arnaut, will arrive at the Office of the High Representative today, Our Party confirmed for N1.
On Thursday Schmidt held consultations with representatives of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), People and Justice (NiP) and the Alliance for Better Future (SBB).
The focus of the discussion is on further amendments to the Election Law, i.e. amendments to the FBiH Constitution.
N1 learned, that the High Representative did not give up on the decision that N1 had exclusively announced a month ago – to implement the three percent threshold when delegating delegates to the House of Peoples of the Federation (FBiH) entity Parliament, as well as provisions that, according to the opinion of the High Representative, would make the authorities in FBiH more functional.
The three percent threshold proposal was condemned by the Sarajevo parties and protests were held in front of the OHR building against it. They called this proposal discriminatory.
