High Representative Schmidt and UK envoy Pierce reaffirm international commitment to BiH stability

The exchange centred on the necessity of continued international presence and the preservation of the Dayton institutions. Both officials emphasized that the roles of the High Representative and EUFOR remain essential in guiding the country toward becoming a sovereign, stable, and inclusive democracy.

During the dialogue, the importance of a functional administrative structure was highlighted as a prerequisite for regional security. The interlocutors concluded that a democratic and stable Bosnia serves as a fundamental pillar for long-term peace across the Western Balkans.

The meeting underscores the shared commitment of the Office of the High Representative and the United Kingdom, under the strategic direction of the incumbent US President Donald Trump’s administration and international partner, to maintain a secure environment and support the country's institutional progress.
