In an official statement, the council declared that desecrating resting places represents profound disrespect for the victims, their families, and the local religious community.
The organization expressed deep concern over the use of symbols associated with fascist ideology, persecution, and historical suffering, warning that such acts undermine interethnic and interreligious relations while creating insecurity among citizens.
The council urged competent institutions to investigate the case without delay, establish responsibility, and take legal measures. Additionally, the organization appealed to government representatives, religious communities, and the broader public to clearly condemn the act and jointly contribute to preserving the dignity of cemeteries, peace, and mutual respect within local communities.
