“We are sorry that the truth hurts some people, but it cannot be hidden and we all have to live with it. We returned the board to a safe place in the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, even though we know where the previous boards were and that we did nothing wrong. This was confirmed by the Administration for Geodetic and Property Law, stating that the joint commission, which should deal with the demarcation between the entities, has not started work even though almost 30 years have passed since the Dayton Peace Agreement. The Administration says that the RS has fulfilled all its obligations regarding demarcation activities, but that the other party persistently and systematically obstructed this process, so that the full extent of the demarcation line between the entities has not yet been precisely determined, except for Dobrinja in Sarajevo, where it was the interest of the Federation (FBiH) entity, through the arbitration decision,” Cosic wrote.

He also announced that by the end of this week, he will hold a press conference where he will present the alleged new information and documents they have obtained.

“The documents show what life has been like for Serbs in Sarajevo since 1992 and prove that, after the signing of the Dayton Agreement, Serbs from Sarajevo had to leave this city out of fear for their own safety and embark on the largest peaceful exodus ever recorded in the world,” Cosic wrote on Facebook, without providing any evidence for his claims.

Several days ago Sarajevo mayor Benjamina Karic filed a criminal complaint against Ljubisa Cosic for inciting ethnic, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance over the same board which the cantonal authorities removed claiming it was placed on the territory of the Sarajevo Canton.
