Jelena Rozga ignites Sarajevo: Massive crowd joins public New Year celebration

According to the Ministry of the Interior of Sarajevo Canton (MUP KS), the public gathering held at the Vrbanja plateau concluded at 1:30 am. The festivities took place in a peaceful and secure atmosphere, with no recorded incidents.

While organizers estimated during the evening that more than 60,000 people had gathered, the Sarajevo Canton Police officially confirmed the figure of approximately 64,000 visitors after the event ended.

The audience at the public celebration in Sarajevo welcomed the New Year with a spectacular concert on the plateau behind the Sarajevo City Centre (SCC). The star of the evening was Croatian singer and regional icon Jelena Rozga, who ushered residents and guests into 2026.

The atmosphere reached its peak when she performed the song "Sarajevo ljubavi moja."
