The Kosovo government decided to cancel visas for Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens at its Thursday session.

“Yesterday, the government decided to unilaterally implement the agreement on freedom of movement with identity cards as part of the Berlin process. This decision will enter into force on January 1, 2025, and will enable visa-free travel to Kosovo for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti wrote on the X social network.

He added that this decision will further strengthen relations between Bosnia and Kosovo.

“As I mentioned last week in Sarajevo, our friendship has been limited for a long time due to restrictions on freedom of movement. We call on Bosnia and Herzegovina to quickly ratify the agreement from its side, ensuring mutual benefits for our citizens”, Kurti said.
