Mads Mikkelsen presented with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo at 28th SFF

The famous actor arrived in Bosnia’s capital earlier on Sunday and met with the mayor, Benjamina Karic, at Sarajevo’s landmark City Hall.
Mikkelsen received the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award back in 2020 at the 26th Sarajevo Film Festival but could not attend the ceremony in person due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 28th Sarajevo Film Festival was officially opened on Friday evening. A total of 235 films from 62 countries are being screened as part of the festival, making it the largest cinema event in southeast Europe.

The festival will close on August 19 with the award ceremony.
