Azra Zornic, who successfully sued BiH before the European Court of Human Rights over discrimination, said that the massive protest in front of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) represents a message to those who support Christian Schmidt’s plan to impose electoral reform that they “should not play with Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
Zornic told N1 that she was satisfied with the number of citizens who joined the protest. She announced that protests will continue on Tuesday.
Zornic stressed that the protest does not only represent a message to Schmidt, but also to the countries that support his plan “to impose something that will erase Bosnia and Herzegovina from the face of the earth forever.”
She said that Schmidt’s plan is the result of efforts by those who lobby on behalf of Croatia's Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic, as well as US State Secretary, Antony Blinken.
“With these protests, we are sending them a message that they must not play with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Do not divide us, you will not succeed in your intentions. Tomorrow we continue with civil protests. There will be no politicians or parties present,” Zornic announced.
She also called on political leaders to refrain from negotiating on BiH outside of the country’s institutions.
“No one has the right to do that. Everyone who does this will be punished in the elections,” she told N1.
