Mirnesa S. receives 3 years in prison for €1.25 million heist

The theft made headlines all over Germany and the world. According to the German media, the 42-year-old woman received only three years, whereas the sentence could have been much higher, 10 years to be exact, had she not confessed to the crime.

Prosecutors and the defense will refrain from appealing making the verdict final, German media outlets said.

On October 14 2022, Mirnesa S. stole €1.25 million euros in cash from the security company where she worked.

She then fled abroad, and in January 2023, she surrendered to the German authorities and was arrested at the Stuttgart airport.
