The Helicopter Service of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity evacuated an eight-month-old sick baby and her mother from the snowbound village of Lokvari on Manjaca, as well as a 68-year-old man from Agino Selo.
The baby and mother were transported to the University Clinical Center of the RS Today, the helicopter also delivered aid to the village of Dubica near Mrkonjic Grad.
“We respond to calls. We will likely work tomorrow and the day after, helping all those in need. They just need to give us the exact location and let us know what they need. Priority will be given to those in health distress, primarily children,” said the director of the Helicopter Service of the RS, Boban Kusturic.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the help of heavy machinery, managed to clear the road from Drvar to the village of Martin Brod, which had been cut off from the rest of the country for days due to heavy snowfall.
