Mothers of Srebrenica visit execution sites across the region

Head of the Association of the Movement of Mothers of Srebrenica and Zepa enclaves, Munira Subasic, said on this occasion that 30 years have passed since they have been waiting for justice.

"We have been looking for truth and justice for 30 years. However, neither was respected. The criminals have woken up, and us, the mothers are waiting, waiting and will wait. After 30 years, we cannot visit the execution sites with dignity. Someone wants to take everything that was mine," said Subasic.

Flowers were laid in front of the former police station as well, along with a history lesson on terrible crimes in Srebrenica.

As a part of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in and around Srebrenica, Mothers of Srebrenica and survivors are today visiting the execution sites where thousands of men and boys had been killed. These include the sites in Potocari, Kravica, Kasaba, Pilica, Branjevo, Petkovci and Orahovac.

A visit to Trnovo, the place where Bosniaks were shot, is scheduled for July 17.
