Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Union and NATO will attend a Diplomatic Forum in Antalya Friday. The presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is also expected, and N1’s Esmir Milavic reports there is no Serbia on the list of participants.
“This is a traditional diplomatic forum held in Antalya. Two members of the BiH Presidency are present and will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic and High Representative Christian Schmidt are also present. Before I joined the program, I looked once again but there was no Serbia on the list of representatives. There are, however, representatives of Kosovo, Montenegro, Slovenia and Croatia,” Milavic said.
He added that among the participants in the diplomatic forum were Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO Secretary-General, two EU Commissioners for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and EU Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, as well as representatives of other international institutions.
“Russian Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to remain at the forum at least today, and some say it could be an opportunity for him to talk to Erdogan or some other officials and create an opportunity to seek a solution to the overall situation in Ukraine. However, I have to go back to yesterday when journalists and everyone present at the press centre said that yesterday's outcome of the conversation was such that one should not expect an end to this conflict any time soon because the positions of one, the other and even a third party (West), are too far away for a concrete result to be achieved,” said Milavic.
