A press conference following the meeting is scheduled for 1 pm.
Rutte’s visit includes meetings with high-ranking BiH officials, such as the Chair of the Council of Ministers, the Foreign Minister, the Defence Minister, and the Acting Minister of Security, NATO announced.
Additionally, the NATO Secretary General will visit the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo (NHQSa) at Butmir Camp, where he will meet with the NHQSa commander, the High Representative for BiH, and EU representatives.
As part of his visit, Rutte will also address students at the University of Sarajevo’s Faculty of Political Sciences.
His arrival comes at a time of heightened political tensions, particularly due to anti-Dayton actions taken by the authorities of Republika Srpska, led by Milorad Dodik.
