OHR calls on BiH authorities to ensure elections are held in free and fair environment

On October 6th this year, the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to vote in free and fair elections, as the integrity of the election process was improved in line with international democratic standards. Their choice will be respected", the statement reads.

The OHR reminds that political representatives have to implement the will of people, the only sovereign in a democratic society.

"It is the unequivocal obligation of all authorities in BiH to respect the legal framework and to ensure the elections are held in a free and fair environment, with full respect of the existing legal framework, international democratic standards, and relevant institutions entrusted with overseeing the election process", the OHR said.
