The heads of party caucuses in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina will hold a meeting tomorrow with the Deputy High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt’s deputy, Louis Crishock. At his invitation, the caucus leaders at the state level will gather as part of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) session. All caucus heads in the BiH House of Representatives were invited, but according to current announcements, only representatives of parties from the Federation of BiH will attend.

"I am glad that this meeting will take place, not only formally because of the commemoration of three decades since the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, but also to draw particular attention to the risks facing Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is necessary to point out the destabilization of processes and attempt to find solutions at this crossroads where BiH currently stands. It is good that the meeting is being held because of the potential obstructions related to the negotiating framework, which concerns BiH’s entry into the European Union, and that is irreversible," Nihad Omerovic, head of the People and Justice (NiP) Caucus in the state parliament’s House of Representatives, told FENA.

The Deputy High Representative did not specify the meeting topics, but Serif Spago, head of the SDA Caucus in the PSBiH, believes that current political issues will be discussed.

"I think the discussion will include the status of state property, and what needs to be done to improve the economic and social situation in the country ahead of the 2026 General Elections," he said.

He also believes there will be talks about filling vacancies in the BiH Constitutional Court, as well as the obligation to implement court rulings.

Sasa Magazinovic, head of the SDP BiH Caucus, also confirmed he received the invitation sent on behalf of the High Representative by his deputy, Louis Crishock, and that he will attend.

"I will take the opportunity to exchange views with the High Representative, the political directors present, and other representatives of PIC member states on a number of current issues," Magazinovic stated.

Attendance was also confirmed by the head of the Democratic Front (DF) Caucus, Milan Dunovic, as well as Jasmin Emric, head of the Mixed Caucus.

The caucus heads of the ruling political parties from Republika Srpska will not attend the meeting, and it is still unknown whether representatives of the RS opposition will be present. Mira Pekic, chair of the SDS–PDP–For Justice and Order Caucus, told FENA she would know more about the meeting tomorrow.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 pm and is planned to last until 7 pm in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. Each party caucus head will have an opportunity to speak.
