Pro-Palestinian group calls for protest in Sarajevo over Israeli team’s arrival
A grassroots citizen group, "Bosna za Palestinu" (Bosnia for Palestine), has called for a peaceful gathering in front of the Cultural and Sports Center Skenderija in Sarajevo this evening to protest the arrival of the Israeli national team for a sporting event in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sarajevo is currently hosting the IIHF Women’s Ice Hockey World Championship – Division III, Group B, and today, the Bosnian team is scheduled to face off against the Israeli national team.
The group has urged citizens to attend the protest as a demonstration of their dissatisfaction with Israel’s participation, citing the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, which have continued for approximately 15 months.
The gathering is set to take place at 6:30 in front of the Cultural Sports Centre Skenderija, and organizers are inviting all citizens who share their concerns to join them in the protest.
