Vice-President of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) and head of the party's caucus in the National Assembly of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Igor Crnadak, told N1 that RS President Milorad Dodik should resign in case the BiH Court approves the indictment that was recently submitted against him. Crnadak spoke about the protests that were organised last week in support of Dodik in several cities in the country and said that the gatherings show that the people no longer want the politics of Dodik and his SNSD party.

“Apart from SNSD officials, almost no one came there. These days we are witnessing that every new day, every new debacle of the SNSD and their politics. You've seen pictures of Dodik at a lamb feast in Osmaci, at that gastronomic gathering, no one approaches him anymore. There no longer has even minimal support”, Crnadak said, repeating his earlier statements that there was election fraud in the entity in the last elections.

Regarding the indictment submitted against Dodik by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Crnadak states that it would be best for the RS if Dodik were to withdraw if the indictment was confirmed.

“Because in that case, a new president of the RS would be elected and that new president would do his job without this pressure that such an indictment represents. An additional burden on Dodik is that he knows very well how he behaved and what he did when the president of the RS was dismissed in 1999,” said Crnadak.
