The Coalition “Pod Lupom” (Under the Magnifying Glass), a civil society group monitoring elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reported early indications of electoral irregularities during ongoing voting processes.

According to the organization, preliminary information collected by observers on the ground suggests that some members and deputy members of polling station committees may have political party affiliations, which would violate Bosnia’s election rules.
“There appears to be a somewhat higher number of individuals within polling station committees who may be linked to political parties, based on initial information collected from the field,” the coalition said in a statement. It added that it is continuing to gather evidence that could be forwarded to competent authorities.
Bosnia’s Election Law prohibits political parties from dominating polling station committees, which are intended to function as neutral bodies overseeing voting procedures. Election monitors warned that politically aligned committees could significantly influence election results, which is why strict legal restrictions exist.
The coalition said it will continue monitoring voting throughout the day and document any irregularities.
Civil society election monitoring organizations have long played a key role in Bosnia’s electoral process, particularly amid frequent political disputes over transparency and trust in election administration.
