Sarajevo Airport announces new European routes as winter flight schedule begins

Sarajevo International Airport will introduce its winter flight schedule on October 25, bringing new connections to Prague, Bratislava and Berlin, alongside existing services to major European and international destinations. The airport is also approaching a significant milestone, with its two-millionth passenger of 2026 expected in the coming weeks.
The new winter season will see low-cost carrier Wizz Air launch three additional routes. Flights to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and Berlin, Germany, are scheduled to begin on December 3, while services to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, will start on December 18.
The new connections are expected to improve accessibility between Bosnia and Herzegovina and major European cities, while creating additional opportunities for tourism and economic development.

Sarajevo promotes winter tourism
Ahead of the winter season, Visit Sarajevo has released a promotional video highlighting the city's attractions and encouraging international visitors to consider Sarajevo as a winter holiday destination.
The campaign showcases Sarajevo's cultural and historical heritage, local cuisine, hospitality and proximity to the Olympic mountains, which make the city and its surroundings particularly attractive during the colder months.
Sarajevo International Airport has encouraged travellers planning a visit this winter to watch the promotional film and discover what the city has to offer throughout the year.
Airport approaches two-million-passenger milestone
Sarajevo International Airport also announced that it expects to welcome its two-millionth passenger of 2026 on one of its upcoming flights.
"This milestone represents an important turning point and confirms continued growth, passenger confidence and increasing interest in travel to and from Sarajevo," the airport said in a statement.
The airport said that expanding its destination network, introducing new routes and continuously improving passenger services remain central to strengthening Bosnia and Herzegovina's international connectivity.
Passengers reminded of daylight saving time change
The airport also reminded passengers travelling on Sunday, October 25, that clocks will move back one hour as daylight saving time ends.
Travellers are advised to carefully check the departure times listed on their travel documents and plan their arrival at the airport accordingly.
