The Government of the Sarajevo Canton has decided to set aside 30,000 Bosnian marks (some €15,000) as a reward for the outstanding achievements of the young Bosnian swimmer Lana Pudar, Fena news agency reported Tuesday.
The Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Edin Forto, and ministers in the Government hosted the 15-year-old swimmer who recently won a bronze medal at the 200-meter dolphin World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
Culture and Sports Minister Samir Avdic pointed out that the line Ministry and the Government show a high level of empathy and responsibility towards what is being done not only by Lana Pudar, but also by all other top BiH athletes.
He added that the Sarajevo Olympic swimming pool recorded a remarkable result of 14-year-old swimmer Iman Avdić, Tuesday, who competed in the championship in the disciplines of 400 meters mixed, 400 meters freestyle and 200 meters mixed competitions.
