Saudi Arabia eyes stronger investment ties with Bosnia

The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in the fields of economic development, investment and trade, while also confirming the traditionally friendly ties between the two countries.

The officials also discussed the upcoming visit of Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which they said would further strengthen bilateral relations.

Hurtic thanked Saudi Arabia for its continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly the humanitarian assistance provided after last year's devastating floods that struck Jablanica and other parts of the country.

"Saudi Arabia has proven to be a true friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would especially like to express my sincere gratitude for the assistance provided after the catastrophic floods. That donation, delivered through the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina, demonstrated genuine solidarity with our citizens when they needed it most. I believe there is significant room to further strengthen our relations through new investments, economic cooperation and joint development projects," Hurtic said.

Ambassador Al Wasedy thanked the minister for the warm welcome and reiterated Saudi Arabia's commitment to expanding cooperation.

"Saudi Arabia considers Bosnia and Herzegovina a friendly country and wishes to deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. We are particularly interested in strengthening economic and investment ties, expanding business cooperation and building a partnership based on mutual respect and trust. Upcoming high-level visits will represent an important step towards achieving these goals," the ambassador said.

Both sides concluded the meeting by expressing confidence that political dialogue, investment, economic cooperation and joint development projects would further strengthen relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Saudi Arabia.
