High Representative Christian Schmidt addressed the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, outlining the key obstacles behind Bosnia and Herzegovina’s stalled progress toward European Union membership.
Schmidt cited persistent political and financial hurdles, stressing that while the crisis is serious, it remains solvable if local actors choose to act responsibly.
"We must work in the interest of the people of BiH," Schmidt stated. "We must work together to help establish a functioning state that advances swiftly on the path to European integration."
