The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have no reason to be concerned over the increased security measures because, Security Minister Nenad Nesic said on Tuesday, noting that these are regular measures considering the situation in the world.
“If we see Slovenia, Austria and Italy increasing security measures, I see no reason why we wouldn't do the same. We tasked all agencies to take adequate measures in order to prevent security threats against citizens and property in BiH. That's a normal reaction, all aimed at the peace and stability in BiH,” the minister said.
After the Italian media reported that their intelligence service has information about 20 terrorist cells being active in this region, including in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nesic said that he did not read the media report and that conclusions cannot be made based on media reports but on information from various agencies.
“We know what we have inside Bosnia and Herzegovina and who we have to monitor carefully. Tomorrow I will task the security agencies to provide information about potential terrorist attacks in BiH or if the nationals of BiH could do that in Europe or the world. I don't believe in such possibility, we are ready to act repressively, by force, to prevent it,” he underlined.
Earlier on Tuesday the Interior Minister of Bosnia's Federation entity Ramo Isak commented on Italian media reports, saying that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina can sleep peacefully because the security situation in the country is satisfying.
