Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday handed over to Serb member of Bosnia and Herzegovina tripartite Presidency Milorad Dodik a draft law on the protection of the Serbian language and Cyrillic alphabet, which should be adopted by the parliaments of Serbia and Republika Srpska, the Serb semi-autonomous region in BiH, on National Unity Day on September 15.

Vucic posted on his Instagram account that he hosted Dodik and had “essential talks about the future of the entire region” with him.

“We agreed that the cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska is exceptional at all levels and that the Serb people must not and cannot afford any conflicts and return to past times,” Vucic said.

He added that unity and joined activities in economy, culture, education, and historical memory should not be questioned at any time.
