Zalazje marks 30 years since the murder of 69 Serb civilians and soldiers on St. Peter's Day in 1992 in the villages of Sase and Zalazje in Srebrenica, Biljaca and Zagoni in Bratunac. Serbia’s Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin attended the commemoration.

Vulin said that he came Tuesday to commemorate the suffering of the Serb people in the Srebrenica area.

“Representatives of the international community will not come here because only Serbs are here. Serb pain is of no interest to anyone, no one cares for the black scarf of Serb mothers, and no one wants to shed a single tear. How many Serbs need to be killed before someone who is not a Serb to appear on their grave. I understand the tears for white scarves [Bosniak women]. How many gouged eyes of judge Ilic are needed to convict one Naser Oric. No one gave us an answer to that, and that's why we remember. Behind me are two monuments from two wars, we must not forget [what happened here] so that there is no third monument,” said Vulin.

Earlier, families of Serb victims visited the cemeteries and prayed for their loved ones.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina acquitted Naser Oric and Sabahudin Muhic of all charges on November 30, 2018. The second-instance panel of the Court of BiH indicted Naser Oric, the former commander of the RBiH Army in Srebrenica, and Sabahudin Muhic, who were accused of killing three Serbian prisoners in the towns of Zalazje, Lolici and Kunjerac in 1992.
