Serbs in Bosnia, including Dodik, are voting in Serbia's 2022 election

Dodik voted at the Serbian Consulate in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity.

Bosnian Serbs have the option to get Serbian citizenship, based on the dual citizenship law.

"I would like everyone in RS to automatically get Serbian citizenship and vote one day," Dodik said.

"I voted here as a citizen of Serbia, exercised my right with the conviction that Serbia will continue to strengthen its democratic capacity, continue through stabilization, peace, stabilisation of overall regional relations, continue to strengthen its economy, that is, strengthen its standards and infrastructure projects," he said.

N1 reporter Snezana Mitrovic reported that slightly more than 18 percent of voters voted in Banja Luka by 10 am.

Some 11,500 Serbian citizens in BiH are eligible to vote at 15 polling stations in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Serbia.
