Competitors from the Kung Fu Ving Tsun Club "Srebrenica", who work and operate in poor conditions without a sports hall in Potocari near Srebrenica, will represent Bosnia in Hungary at the World Championship in martial arts.

The championship is held from October 12 to 14 in Velika Kaniza, and it is organized by the International Combat Organization (ICO).

Kung Fu Club “Srebrenica” and the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be represented by five competitors.

The Club received the invitation to participate in this championship much earlier, but the uncertainty regarding their departure lasted until a few days ago because they did not have 4,000 Bosnian marks (some €2,000) for the trip and performance in Hungary.

Namely, Kung Fu Club Srebrenica has only 4,000 marks from the budget of the municipality of Srebrenica for this whole year, which was needed for the trip.

The BiH diaspora in the US collected the much-needed funds for their departure. Specifically, the Atlanta Humanitarian Fund, which operates within the Bosniak community of Georgia gathered the money. Their member and most prominent donor, Sehmedin Golubovic, who has been sponsoring the Kung Fu club from Potocari for several years, agreed to pay an additional 6,000 marks (roughly €3,000) and enable the children to go to Hungary. He intended those extra 2,000 marks for a set of tracksuits and other expenses for the national team members.
