A large police presence was recorded Wednesday at the international airport in Sarajevo, securing the area during the extradition of Sava Marinkovic, the suspect in the murder of Sarajevo police officers Adis Sehovic and Davor Vujinovic in 2018 at Alipasin Polje neighbourhood in Sarajevo.
This information was confirmed for N1 by Franka Vican, the spokesperson of the BiH Border Police, who stated that Marinkovic was picked up Tuesday by members of the BiH Border Police at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany, where he was serving his sentence. Bosnia’s Justice Ministry and Interpol were informed about the extradition and its completion.
Marinkovic was in prison in Germany for other criminal offences, and the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo sentenced him to one-month detention and issued an international warrant for his arrest.
