The 21st anniversary of the first collective funeral for the victims of Srebrenica genocide marked in Potocari

On every March 31 for the past 21 years, the Srebrenica Memorial Center has been marking the anniversary of the first collective funeral where the first 600 victims of the Srebrenica genocide were buried.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, Hamdija Fejzic, stressed the importance of the struggle that families have been fighting for decades in their efforts to find the remains of their loved ones and achieve peace and justice.

He also emphasized the importance of the role of the Srebrenica mothers who fought for the establishment of the Memorial Center and pointed out that, because of their persistence, this institution today represents a pillar of Bosniak survival in Srebrenica.
