Trebevic wildfire reignites overnight after being brought under control

''The fire reignited overnight. It had been brought under control, but the nature of such fires in open areas, particularly forest fires, means they can sometimes flare up even two or three days later. That happened last night as well. Although a team was on standby, the fire broke out on two fronts,'' Nikola Sarac, commander of the East Sarajevo Fire and Rescue Unit, told FENA.

He stressed that firefighting operations are underway, with firefighters from the Lukavica and Pale departments of the Fire and Rescue Unit, as well as members of the Mountain Rescue Service and the Forestry Enterprise, at the scene.

''Firefighting operations are underway again at the Trebevic site, and we hope to bring the fire under control again very soon,'' Sarac said.
