This year marks a notable milestone, being the fifth consecutive year that the occasion has been formally observed within the UK Parliament. The BH UK Network described the anniversary as a clear testament to the "unity, strength, and dedication" of the Bosnian diaspora across the United Kingdom.
Zaim Pasic, President of the BH UK Network, expressed his pride in the ongoing partnership with the Honorary Consulate and the APPG.
"This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase Bosnia and Herzegovina at its best," Pasic remarked. "We particularly want to highlight the resilience and cohesion of our diaspora in the UK. Through decades of hard work and solidarity, they have consistently bolstered the reputation of their homeland. Initiatives such as this prove that our country can be represented with the dignity and authenticity it deserves."
Pasic added that the network looks forward to a "stately and dignified" celebration at the heart of British democracy.
In a poignant addition to this year’s proceedings, the event will also feature a presentation on the upcoming Srebrenica genocide anniversary, organized in conjunction with the Remembering Srebrenica charity.
