Bosnia's Association of Independent Trade Unions has announced a protest walk that will be held in Sarajevo on Monday, on the occasion of the International Labor Day.
The Association also announced the address of chairman Selvedin Satorović on the same occassion at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of the House of Trade Unions in Sarajevo. The speech will be followed by a protest walk from this site to the building of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The protest on the occasion of May 1 was announced earlier by the Trade Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (STBIH).
A gathering called ‘When is it our turn?’ will start at 8:30 a.m. in front of the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The goal of this year's May Day protest is, as they said, to draw attention to the fact that the long-term and extremely turbulent process of the formation of the government in Bosnia and Herzegovina has once again resulted in stagnation and a decline in the living standards of workers.
