The accident happened on June 25, around 00:35, on Sarajevo’s main road near the BHRT building.

According to earlier information from the Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry, D.H., born in 2005, fell from the roof of an Audi A6 driven by A.O., born in 2004, from Sarajevo.

Police determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and did not have a valid driving licence. A breathalyser test showed 1.53 g/kg of alcohol in his system.

The injured young man was first admitted to the Emergency Medicine Clinic before being transferred to the Neurosurgery Clinic with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver, Arman Omeragic, was previously arrested in connection with the incident. Although the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office requested custody, the competent court rejected the proposal.
