Zagreb Commercial Court ordered to rule within one year in Energoinvest’s 100 million euro fuel station dispute

The litigation, active since December 2016, pits Energoinvest against the companies DIRUS PROJEKT and LUKOIL CROATIA. Energoinvest is seeking the annulment of a 2015 sales contract, which had an agreed purchase price of 6,563,710 euros, along with the return of the property and compensation for benefits derived from its use. The company argues that payment obligations and necessary approvals were never fulfilled despite the property being handed over to the buyer, while the defendants have contested all claims.
According to preliminary estimates by Energoinvest's management, the total value of the disputed assets and related financial claims exceeds 100 million euros, though the exact monetary award will be determined through upcoming financial expert evaluations recently approved by the Zagreb court on October 14, 2026. The developments have been formally reported to Energoinvest’s Supervisory Board, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the FBiH Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry as legal activities intensify under the management appointed in June 2024, Biznisinfo reports.
