A worker from the Elektro-Bijeljina field unit in Zvornik told FENA that although crews managed to restore power in some areas yesterday, the grid tripped again on several transmission lines early this morning. This latest failure was caused by fresh snowfall overnight. While the urban center of Zvornik currently has electricity, working conditions for repair teams remain extremely difficult due to the snow and low temperatures.

The Drina River began to recede yesterday after threatening weekend cottage settlements with flooding. Regarding infrastructure, the company Zvornikputevi confirmed that main and regional roads in the Birač region are passable. However, critical conditions persist on the Han Pogled mountain pass, Crni Vrh near Zvornik, and Bijela Zemlja near Sekovici.

According to the Republika Srpska Auto-Moto Association, traffic for heavy vehicles is currently suspended on the following routes:

  • Sarajevo–Rogatica (via Romanija)
  • Trnovo–Foca (via the Rogoj Pass)
  • Zvornik–Tuzla (via the Crni Vrh Pass)
  • Vlasenica–Sokolac (via Han Pogled)

Meteoalarm has issued an orange warning for tomorrow for the Banja Luka, Prijedor, and Bihac areas. Morning temperatures are expected to drop significantly, reaching as low as -15°C.
