One person killed in migrant clash at Lipa Camp

"Around 11 p.m., an incident occurred — a clash between three residents of the camp who have been staying there for a while. As a result, one resident sustained serious bodily injuries and was transported to the Cantonal Hospital in Bihac, where, unfortunately, he passed away during the night", said Almin Imamovic, Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a statement to RTV USK.

He said that the Foreigners Affairs Service immediately apprehended the perpetrators. The Ministry of Interior of Una-Sana Canton was notified, and the suspects were handed over to them. They are now conducting an investigation into the case, he said.

He added that the situation in the camp is currently calm.
