Three new attacks on the Sarajevo Canton Police were recorded since the police officers, Davor Vujinovic and Adis Sehovic were murdered in late October, cantonal Interior Ministry told N1.

“From October 20 to date, we recorded nine car thefts, of which eight were returned to their owners,” Sarajevo Canton’s Interior Ministry spokesperson Suvada Kuldija said for N1.

Speaking of attacks against the police, she added two migrants were among the attackers against the police.

“We recorder one instance of preventing an officer from performing their official duties, and three attacks against police officers in securing the public order,” Kuldija said. “In one of these instances two migrants attacked our police officers, and in the other two instances two persons attacked our police officers.”

She confirmed that the attacks took place in Sarajevo municipalities of Stari Grad, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad and Ilidza.

In late October, a police patrol in the Sarajevo neighbourhood of Ali Pasino Polje caught a suspect red-handed as he/she was trying to steal a car. But the suspect(s) opened fire at the police car while it was still moving.

One officer was killed instantly and the other was severely injured. He also died several hours later, as doctors were trying to save his life.
