All bank accounts of companies owned by Gorica and Igor Dodik, children of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity President, Milorad Dodik, have been officially closed, Capital.ba internet portal learned.

The last in the series to be closed are the accounts of the “Agape” restaurant owned by Gorica and Ivana Dodik, daughter and daughter-in-law of the RS President, as well as the accounts of the company “Fruit eco” owned by Igor Dodik and Mirko Dobric.

When it comes to the company “Fruit eco”, the bank also closed two accounts on Tuesday.

Banks in the RS and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) entity started closing the accounts of legal entities and individuals who are under US sanctions, at the end of last month.

When it comes to companies owned by the Dodik family, the first on the list whose accounts were closed was Gorica Dodik's humanitarian organization “Srpska kuca”, while the accounts of her company “Agro voce” were also closed, as well as the “Global liberty” company’s, which is co-owned by her Brother Igor.

The closing of the accounts of legal entities and individuals who are on the American blacklist occurred after the announcement by US representatives that banks could also be subject to sanctions if they continue to cooperate with sanctioned persons.

On the other hand, Milorad Dodik announced the establishment of a bank for internal payment transactions for sanctioned persons, Capital.ba said.
