BiH officials to attend 57th Munich Security Conference

BiH’s Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija and Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic will participate in the Munich Security Conference 2022, which is being held in the German city from 18th to 20th February.

Minister Turkovic addressed a gathering dedicated to the Western Balkans Thursday night, which was held on the eve of the 57th Munich Security Conference. Among the conference participants were High Representative to BiH Christian Schmidt and former US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson.

According to the announcements, this year's conference will be attended by some 35 heads of state and government, and about 100 ministers, primarily foreign affairs and defence.

The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, will speak at the meeting, among others, and the US delegation should be led by Vice President Kamala Harris.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is also expected to attend, along with numerous members of his cabinet. The arrival was also announced by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, as well as the highest representatives of the European Union.
