Marino Vidovic, speaking for the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Civil Protection Administration, confirmed that approximately thirty personnel are active on the ground. The response team comprises local civil protection workers, forestry employees from the cantonal administration and Bosansko Grahovo office, and volunteer firefighters from Korita and St. Ana Listani.
Operations are currently split between direct fire suppression and clearing access routes to halt the eastward advance towards Mount Troglav. Authorities noted that further containment heavily depends on shifting wind patterns and weather conditions throughout the day.
The blaze has prompted a sustained multi-day air and ground campaign, utilizing a state armed forces helicopter alongside specialized aircraft deployed from Croatia. Despite continuous intervention, the fire continues to spread across the terrain.
