During the previous day, through the joint engagement of Armed Forces helicopters, air tractors, firefighting units, and volunteers, the fire that threatened the city of Trebinje from the southern side was completely extinguished. The Armed Forces helicopter also intervened during Wednesday's operations in the area of Goricko Jezero, where timely action prevented the fire from spreading across the road communication.

Across a total flight duration of six hours, the helicopter dropped fifty-six tons of water onto the fire sites, contributing significantly to the localization and complete suppression of fires in the endangered areas. According to the operational engagement plan, the continuation of firefighting activities is expected, following which the helicopter is scheduled to return to its parent unit for regular maintenance procedures.

The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to provide support to civilian structures in protecting the population and material assets from the consequences of fires and other natural disasters, as announced by the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
