The Prime Minister of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, Fadil Novalic, announced Thursday an increase of almost four percent in pensions, at a press conference after the FBiH Government session.

“This is an extraordinary adjustment because we regularly adjust [pensions] at the beginning of April. This is also the sixth increase since last April, although some were related only to the minimum pension,” said Novalic said.

The FBiH Government decided to make a linearly increase in pensions by 3.9 percent, and it was determined that the lowest pension will be 538 Bosnian marks (some €275).

the FBiH PM announced the new increase in pensions on his official Facebook account, on Wednesday.

“A total of 164 million Bosnian marks (some €83 million) is earmarked for farmers. Increased allowances for disability benefits and receivers of war recognitions and awards. A total of 10.2 million marks in lump-sum assistance to veteran categories. Funds have been provided for the beginning of the Bihac – Velika Kladusa expressway construction. A pension increase coming soon.” Novalic wrote.
