The new Foreign Affairs Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konakovic, met with Serbia’s President and Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic and Ana Brnabic, on Friday in Belgrade to discuss relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The Serbian officials congratulated the BiH delegation for the quick formation of the BiH Council of Ministers, as well as for the EU granting the country candidate status.
Konakovic and the Serbian officials stressed the importance of good relations between BiH and Serbia for the entire region, adding that the two countries need to focus on joint projects in the future.
According to a statement by his ministry, Konakovic said that the countries must cooperate in good faith through their institutions in order to achieve a constructive dialogue and open space for the improvement of relations that will be beneficial for the lives of the citizens of both countries.
Later in the day, Konakovic is expected to meet with Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic.
