Leaders and state representatives of the "Trojka" coalition in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) held a series of meetings to outline their strategy for preserving peace and advancing the country's European integration. The coalition, comprising key political parties, unanimously agreed on the need to firmly oppose actions that threaten the BiH Constitution, disrupt peace, and obstruct the functioning of state institutions and the European Union accession process.
The coalition statement specifically highlighted concerns about the unconstitutional activities of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), led by Milorad Dodik, which they claimed undermined peace and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. Furthermore, it was noted that the SNSD’s actions to block the country’s European path violated coalition agreements. These agreements primarily focused on adopting EU-aligned laws and decisions that represent significant steps forward in the integration process for the benefit of all citizens of BiH.
In response, the Trojka leadership has decided to call on party bodies to terminate the coalition agreement with the SNSD. They stated that this move is aimed at protecting peace and unblocking Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path toward the EU.
The leaders of the coalition plan to inform international partners, both domestic and abroad, about these unified positions.
“In this complex and challenging moment for the country and all its citizens, we call on all political and societal actors to join us in safeguarding peace and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European future,” the coalition leaders emphasized.
The Trojka also expressed gratitude to opposition representatives who, through their clear support for European-aligned legislation and its urgent adoption, helped prevent the obstruction of the country’s EU path.
These developments come at a critical time, as Bosnia and Herzegovina grapples with internal political tensions and seeks to maintain progress toward its European integration amid growing regional and domestic challenges.
