Consumer prices in Bosnia rose 4.6% wear-on-year in June

Consumer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by an average of 0.3% in June 2025 compared to the previous month, while annual inflation reached 4.6%, according to data released by the BiH Agency for Statistics.

The monthly rise was primarily driven by increases in several categories. The cost of housing and utilities rose by 0.5%, furniture, household appliances, and regular home maintenance increased by 0.4%, and health services saw a 0.1% uptick. Transport costs went up by 0.8%, recreation and culture by 0.7%, education by 1.1%, and prices in the restaurant and hotel sector rose by 1.6%. The category of miscellaneous goods and services recorded a 0.5% increase.

However, a slight decrease in prices was registered in two key categories: food and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 0.1%, while clothing and footwear saw a 1.2% drop.

On a yearly basis, food and non-alcoholic beverage prices surged by 10.8%, remaining the largest contributor to annual inflation. Restaurant and hotel services rose by 7.2%, healthcare services by 6.4%, and recreation and culture by 4.9%.
