BiH Presidency member Zeljka Cvijanovic stated that all Bosnia’s problems are exclusively political and not of a security nature and that it is pointless to call for the deployment of additional international forces in the country.
She pointed out that messages from all relevant actors such as EUFOR and NATO testify to this, assessing the security situation in BiH as stable.
“Demands that NATO deploy its forces are senseless demands of vain politicians who, by talking about an allegedly threatened security situation, are trying to attract the attention of the international factor,” Cvijanovic noted.
She assessed that these were tendentious calls, usually from Sarajevo, with the intention of portraying the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity as a disruptive factor.
