As part of the initial segment of the anniversary programme, Becirovic attended an official luncheon hosted for heads of state by Hungarian President András Baka.

During the event, participants exchanged perspectives on the importance of preserving peace, liberty, and democratic values, as well as addressing the contemporary challenges currently facing Europe. Discussions placed particular emphasis on the necessity of cooperation among European nations and the strengthening of mutual understanding and trust.
The presence of Chairman Bećirović at the formal proceedings in Budapest reaffirms Bosnia and Herzegovina's commitment to developing strong bilateral relations with Hungary.

The commemorative schedule also includes a solemn session of the Hungarian Parliament, a memorial service at Lajos Kossuth Square, a gala dinner at the Museum of Fine Arts, and a special programme at the Hungarian State Opera. These events in Budapest are organized to honour the historic events of 1956, when Hungarian citizens rose against Soviet rule in their pursuit of freedom, democracy, and independence.
