According to a statement from the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, special emphasis was placed on the development of air traffic and the expected introduction of a direct air link between the two capitals in the near future.
The ministers also discussed enhancing cooperation in transport infrastructure, with a focus on road and railway networks, as well as advancing digitalisation.
“Türkiye is an important economic partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and our goal is to further strengthen cooperation between our two countries. The direct Sarajevo–Ankara flight, which we expect to be launched soon, represents a concrete step in that direction,” Forto said.
Forto invited Minister Uraloğlu to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, an invitation that was accepted. The visit is expected to take place no later than this summer.
During the planned visit, meetings with Bosnian and Herzegovinian business representatives are also scheduled, aimed at further enhancing economic cooperation and defining concrete infrastructure projects, the ministry said.
