Bosnia and Herzegovina's Office of the Disciplinary Counsel requested a temporary removal from duties for Dalida Burzic, the judge of the Bosnia's State Court and former prosecutor at Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, following the recently launched investigation into Burzic's work.

The request was submitted to the First Instance Disciplinary Commission of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, Bosnia's top judicial institution.

The Disciplinary Counsel's Office explained that the request was formed on the grounds of the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council's Article 77, according to which “a judge or a prosecutor can be temporarily removed from duty…if that judge or prosecutor is a subject of investigation in criminal proceeding.”

The First Instance Disciplinary Commission of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council will have a final say on the request.
